Restaurant reservation platform Quandoo has announced that it will take down its website, app and other infrastructure by 31 December 2026.
In an update on its website, the company said it “has made the decision to cease operations in a planned and orderly manner”.
However, customers can continue to use the website and app to search venues and place new bookings until 30 September 2026.
Members enrolled in Quandoo’s loyalty scheme will be able to earn points up to 30 June 2026 while valid points can be used until 30 September 2026.
The update stated that the platform will end all its consumer services on 1 October.
The update added: “Our platform will continue to operate, allowing you to discover restaurants and make new reservations until 30 September 2026. Our commitment is to provide you with clear and straightforward information to guide you through these changes.”
After September, the app and website may still be viewable for a period in a static, restricted format until they are fully removed by 31 December 2026.
The closure will affect every market where Quandoo is active, including Australia, Switzerland and Italy, The Straits Times reported.
Restaurants appearing on the platform will operate as usual, and all confirmed reservations made via its system will still be honoured.
For restaurant partners, existing tools and services will remain available in their current form until 30 September 2026.
After 1 October 2026, restaurants will not be able to handle new or existing bookings through Quandoo.
However, the update added that its support team will stay in place to help partners with exporting their data ahead of the final shutdown.
"Quandoo to shut restaurant booking platform by end of 2026" was originally created and published by Verdict Food Service, a GlobalData owned brand.
